GEOGRAPHY OF GUINEA:
If you were to look at the Western region of Africa, you could find Guinea in the westernmost part of the region. If you were looking at a map of the whole world, Guinea would be considerably close to the middle. Guinea has a tropical climate with long, rainy seasons of six to eight months. Adaptation to this climate was not as challenging as it would have been in the middle of the Sahara because Guinea is on the coast and has many useful natural resources. These resources include:
1. Bauxite
2. Fish
3. Forests
4. Phosphates
5. Clay
6. Granite
7. Limestone
8. Petroleum (unexploited deposits)
Guinea is incredibly different from the U.S.A. geographically because the United States have many different climates while Guinea is nearly entirely a single climate.
More comparisons:
-The United States cover 2,959,064.44 square miles, while Guinea covers just short of 95,000 square miles!
-The United States has a total of an estimates 24 natural resources throughout the country while Guinea has only 8.
